Work in Progress...

A doll. Been meaning to make one for ages, but have only just got round to it. Just need to decide what sort of clothes she needs now...

Big Bang Theory Cushion

Made this for my brother for Christmas. I also made a similar one for my godson, but his just said 'My Spot'. That was a lot less time consuming than this!

Dino World

Dinosaur playset for the charming Mr M. All made out of felt, with volcano, cave, and box to keep it all in.

Hand Painting

Some designs for hand painting, for when the 'little darlings' don't want their faces painted. Ah, I love my job...

Elephant Tie for a Sweetie

Made this for a complete sweetie - my 'third brother' x

Dr Who - River Song's Diary

Actually made two of these as presents, but only took one photo! Of course, if you don't watch Dr Who you won't know what this is!

It's been a long time...

Haven't been here for over a year! Ah, well, better post a load of stuff...

Freaky doll repainting!

So I saw something (somewhere!) about repainting dolls and thought I'd give it a try. This is my first ever attempt and isn't very good, but I will be trying again.
First I bought a doll in Poundland, with lovely purple hair...

Then I removed the face with nail varnish remover...

Then I repainted! Next time I'll go slower, and get some decent brushes.

Sock fishing

Keeping with the tradition of making handsome Mr M presents out of socks, here's his Christmas present - sock fishing! I make fish out to socks, with metal washers inside as part of their mouths. The hook on the fishing rod has a magnet inside. Had a bit of trouble finding a magnet strong enough to pick up the fish, but finally found one inside my old computer of all places! Didn't realised computers have magnets in, but there you go! Mr M's mummy says he loves fishing, and trying to hook up everything in sight!

Hats!

Can't stop crocheting hats! Think all the cold weather just inspired me!

And saving the best until last, here's my big bro modelling his 'beard hat' I made him for Christmas!!

Cuddly Thomas Hardy!

Seems I haven't added anything to this blog since the 'Great Snow-In Card Making' session! I have been crafting, however I can't put things on here until after the birthday of the person I have been crafting for!

This was a present for a friend who loves the author Thomas Hardy. I sewed up a rag doll shape from white material, printed Thomas Hardy's face onto iron on transfer paper and ironed it on. Then, after stuffing, made him a little suit with a cravat.

In the words of my friend - 'Freaky but marvelous!'

Snowed In Cards

Too much snow around to go out, so have made lots of cards! Here's a selection:

Sock Penguin Bowling

Here's handsome young Mr M's Christmas present - penguin bowling made out of socks, with a bag to keep them in!

Fireplace

Lots of crafting, but not much blogging! Must try to keep up.

Anyway, here's a fireplace I crafted out of a huge cardboard box at work (as you do!).
